Based in Miami and operating out of both Miami International and Fort Lauderdale International with a fleet of Airbus single-aisle aircraft, Global Crossing Airlines is a Part 121 charter and supplemental carrier. For VA purposes, a basic route network of 40 flights has been built in the Caribbean and Latin America. Real GlobalX services between Miami and Havana are replicated here.
Where this VA really shines is with the greater Miami area's trio of FBS college football teams, flying an away-of-the-week during the season (outbound during the Friday night TV game, then returning after Saturday's final score, or on Sunday (again, during a game on TV).
To keep things interesting when it is not football season, an around the world tour will become a set of seasonal flights from February to June. The plan is to go eastbound for 2025, westbound for 2026. Got a favorite touring musical artist? Summer tours would be something to do here. The aim is to have dynamic seasonal flexibility with additional city pairs, making for a VA that stays fresh and engaging.
GlobalX uses the A321F, and has acquired a single A319. Availablity of these types varies by sim platform, and is expected to improve. There are plenty of A320 options for the all-blue and all-white liveries, with FSX/P3D packages linked. Get your FSX/P3D A321 package here. MSFS pilots get the multicolor livery pictured above for the Fenix A320, in addition to the solid variants, all found here.
GlobalX has been known to operate from other bases on government contracts, including repatriation work for ICE. Those services are not simulated within the VA, at this time (check back in 2025). Visit the GlobalX page on FS Hub for more information.
