FLEET

Like most airlines, propeller aircraft are where it began. The RMA story began with a second-hand King Air offering ad-hoc service from Gateway to Sedona or Las Vegas. After several King Airs (some leased), a small fleet of 9-passenger Quest (now Daher) Kodiak 100 aircraft was acquired. Weekend circuits of Mesa-Sedona-Grand Canyon-Page-Mesa became a regularity. For FSX/P3D, the Lionheart Creations payware is used, with RMA texture files found here. There are two distinct liveries, with the "safari" one pictured on the Stuff to Know page. MSFS pilots, there is a payware version for you; use a livery that fits with what you see.

The Pilatus PC-12 has emerged to rival the smaller members of the King Air family, carrying two in the cockpit (but certified for one), and six in the back, along with cargo and a toilet. Her speed outclasses the small King Airs on just one engine too, saving fuel and maintenance costs, making this aircraft the affordable option to destinations in Arizona and bordering states. She's not afraid of the rugged. FSX/P3D textures for N12RM are available here, with additional goodies. N612J is a leased aircraft, with no RMA logo branding (thus, it bases in Scottsdale). Freeware flyers, your aircraft is here.

With seats for six, plus a convertible toilet and the right seat up-front, the Embraer Phenom 300 by Carenado is supreme in the light business jet class, and the workhorse of the RMA fleet. The RMA standard livery for FSX/P3D is in the download, with more liveries detailed on the Stuff to Know page.  X-Plane pilots, use a livery for the Aerobask payware that is compatible with what you see here. MSFS pilots, your payware version is here (use the best fitting livery available). Freeware flyers, CamSim has you covered for FS9 and FSX. The map area below represents the limits of the Phenom 300's range from the Phoenix metro area, and depicts important business and leisure destinations. To get an idea of the passenger experience aboard the Phenom 300, check out this video.

Sometimes, a very light jet is suitable for the mission. With the same Garmin Prodigy avionics systems as its larger sibling, the Embraer Phenom 100 by Carenado has four cabin seats, plus a convertible toilet and the right seat up front, offering a wonderful entry into the world of private jet travel. Regular flyers to southern California or Las Vegas have come to call this aircraft "the escape pod." Download N50RM textures for FSX/P3D here. MSFS pilots, the textures will work with this edition. X-Plane pilots, Carenado makes a version for you; use the best fitting livery available. Freeware flyers, CamSim has what you need for FS9 and FSX. Given the type's range and performance, Phenom 100 services are generally limited to points west of Kansas City on the map below.

Retro RMA

There couldn't be a mention of such a venerable type without a download to go with it. Here's a look at the RMA fleet of 2006. The King Air 200 is Carenado payware for FSX/P3D. Get the textures here. The 300 model is freeware for FSX/P3D by AFG. This download is a full aircraft. FS9 users, you can fly the RMA textures as well by moving the texture folder's contents into the "texture.RMA" folder (you will still need to download the FS9 version of the aircraft from the usual websites). Destinations in 2006 were mostly within Arizona, and bordering states.

In 2012, a second-hand Fairchild Swearingen Metro III was acquired, and placed on "weekender" services to North Las Vegas (KVGT) and Laughlin/Bullhead city (KIFP). The airplane was also used for larger ski charters to Colorado, during the winter. Our custom freeware for FSX/P3D aircraft is available here. The model is by Mike Stone, and the textures will work in FS9 (you just need to replace the FSX panel).
